Yellow-billed cuckoo

Status: Threatened in California. 
Range: Most of the Eastern United States; the western population is now considered distinct and restricted to a few key habitats scattered throughout the western states.

Once abundant in riparian willow habitat throughout the state, the yellow-billed cuckoo has experienced steep declines in population recently, and is listed as threatened in California.
