Average size: 2-3 inches Primary food: small shrimp, amphipods, and aquatic insects Tidewater gobies are found in lower stream reaches, where the water is relatively still and the bottom is sandy or rocky. Arundo can form large rafts of dead and decaying material that alter the water flow or cover the sandy substrate needed for breeding.
