Syncaris Pasadenae (shrimp)Status: Extinct
Range: Lived in the drainage basin of the LA river system. Average size: 1-2 cm This species of freshwater shrimp lived exclusively in the streams that fed the Los Angeles river, and is extinct as none of its original habitat remains.
Little is known about syncaris pasadenae, but it was likely abundant in its area up to the flood control efforts in 1933. |
